Description of  capabilities CIDETEC is a Technological Centre founded in 1997 whose goal is to contribute value to companies by means of capturing, generating and transferring technological knowledge for companies. The centre is part of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network and is located at the Donostia-San Sebastián headquarters of the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park.

CIDETEC is a member of the IK4 alliance and works in four areas:

• Surface Engineering

• Energy Storage

• Nanomedicine

• Polymers & Composites.

Since 2001 up to now, CIDETEC has developed R & D projects with 450 companies. CIDETEC has set up 4 new companies, participated in 34 projects of FP7, leading 8 of them and participates in 15 projects from H2020, leading 4 of them.

CIDETEC currently has a workforce of 160 people, of which 95% are university graduates and 50% doctors. Its turnover reached 12 M € in 2016.
